Green Juice

Our last recipe was a tried and true, no brainer, easily loved by everyone we've served it to.

This next recipe for Green Juice is not necessarily for everyone.  If you love thick, sweet smoothies, this recipe is NOT for you.

However, if you're looking for something thinner and not sweet, then this will be right up your alley.  This is more of a juice (but no juicer needed) and it's bright and fresh.  I swear that one of these green juices a day is what has kept me from getting sick!  If you're looking to up your veggie intake, this juice is for you.

Ingredients:

2 cups spinach

2 mini cucumbers

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 slices canned pineapple (in juice)

Plus 2 tablespoons of the pineapple juice (from the can)

1tsp fresh ginger

1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)

1 teaspoon hemp hearts (optional)

1 cup of water or coconut water

Directions: Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.  Increase or decrease the water amount depending on how thick you want it.

I even make multiple up ahead of time and put them in the freezer so that I can easily blend them up on the fly (more to come on that in another post!).
